Day Care Centers


Consuntingan Day Care Center initially opened with the support of the Mandaue City government in 1982. Some 50 children enrollees were enthusiastically accompanied by their parents during the formation stage. For over ten years Ms. Alice Paquibot, day care teacher, was instrumental in providing guidance and tutorship, as well as inspiration for the young mothers.


Golden Z Club

The University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Golden Z Club was reorganized by Zontian Lourdes D. Jereza to enable college and university students develop leadership skills, promote career exploration and encourage members to participate in community, school and international service projects. With the help of experienced Zonta sponsors, who provide resources, information and guidance, Golden Z club members (college or university students) work to improve their society and the world.


Adopt – A – Barangay Program

After signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between  Zonta Club of Cebu II and Barangay Alang-Alang, Mandaue City on October 21, 2009, there had been a lot of  Barangay Alang-Alang interventions by Zonta Club of Cebu II such as  advocacy trainings, medical missions, aid to fire victims, anti-dengue larvicide treatment,  gift-giving to Alang-Alang Daycare center children, active support to the Alternative Learning System (ALS)  for out of school youths in the barangay.


Ang Dangoyngoy sa Kahilum

Violence against women and girls continues unabated in every continent, country and culture. It takes a devastating toll on women’s lives, on their families, and on society as a whole. Most societies prohibit such violence - yet the reality is that too often, it is covered up or tacitly condoned.


Gasa sa Gugma Committee Report

The haircut service for the residents of Gasa sa Gugma, was started by then Zonta 2 President Elsa B. Basubas, at the very start of her 2-year term in 2010. Gasa Sa Gugma is a charitable facility that cares for the abandoned elderly and sick members of the Cebu City society, under the supervision of The Sisters of Mother Teresa of Calcutta..


Zonta Children's Reading Corner (ZCRC)

The Zonta Children's Reading Corner (ZCRC) at the Rizal Memorial Library and Museum (RMLM).  Through a Memoradum of Agreement with the City of Cebu, the Club renovated a 50 square meter area in the RMLM, provided it with furniture, new books and media equipment, with the purpose to encourage children and the youth in the city to read and rediscover books and to keep them out of trouble and away from drugs and other vices.


Women And Children’s Friendly Center

On March 8, 1996, the Women and Children’s Protection Unit (WCPU) or the “Pink room” was founded and established at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) as a component of the Department of Health’s (DOH) flagship program “HOSPITALS AS CENTERS OF WELLNESS”, a program which was envisioned to address the increasing problem of Violence Against Women and Children in the country. 


Zonta Club of Cebu II Leadership Medal of Excellence

Zonta Club of Cebu II is an affiliate organization of Zonta International, a global organization, founded in 1919, composed of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy. Zonta members volunteer their time, talents and resources to local and international service projects, as well as scholarship and award programs aimed at furthering women's education, leadership and youth development.
