(Second of a Series of Lectures and Workshops on Violence against Women and Children)

Violence against women and girls continues unabated in every continent, country and culture. It takes a devastating toll on women’s lives, on their families, and on society as a whole. Most societies prohibit such violence - yet the reality is that too often, it is covered up or tacitly condoned.

Spreading Christmas Cheers to our 3 Day Car Centers in Mandaue City: Brgy Casuntingan, Bgy. Tipolo and Barangay Alang- Alang

Zontians Cebu II members, filled with the holiday spirit, set one day aside and trooped to the three Day Care Centers (in different locations) that the Club has been supporting - one of them since 1982.

It was heartwarming to hear that the preschoolers who were with us have since graduated from college and are now professionals - teachers, nurses and doctors. More heartening to see that Teacher An, handling the Brgy. Casuntingan Day Care Center, herself was once enrolled as a toddler of said center.
