Term: 1992 - 1994
I was chosen a reluctant president of the club but at the same time I wanted to help the club achieve its Goals for the Biennium, and help women and children.
Term: 1990 - 1992
“ Success comes with challenges and adversities ”
My term as President of Zonta Club of Cebu II started during the time when Cebu suffered devastation due to a strong typhoon. It was a time when our commitment to help our needy fellowmen was put to test. We reached out to them with much conviction that we are there during their time of need.
Term: 1988 - 1990
As we all know – Nothing ever grows without a seed. It was during the biennium 1988 to 1990 when the two day care centers at Canduman and Tipolo were first planted and nurtured. With the determination and dedication of my leadership under I had actually dipped my hands in the ground and dirt under my fingernails, you will now be amazed on how these projects have grown.
Term: 1986 - 1988
My term as President came at the worst possible time in my life. The Club was bent on raising funds for our Casuntingan Day Care Center project, I was pregnant with my second child, my consultancy work was at its peak, and my husband was elected President of the Rotary Club of Cebu North. I walked into this task with the perfect formula for burnout. But surprisingly my fears were unfounded.
Term: 1984 - 1986
I have happy memories about Zonta 1 members Dr. Suga Yuvienco, Mrs. Gloria Escaño, and Mrs. Amparo Rodil inviting me and other potential members, Mrs. Pet Misa, Mrs. Amy Enriquez among others to a Zonta luncheon meeting with the purpose of creating a new younger set of members to form Zonta Club II.
Term: 1981 - 1982
It was a great honor and a rare privilege to be among the charter members and to be Organizing President of the Zonta Club of Cebu II. During my brief and abbreviated term, we focused our activities on learning the ins and outs of running a service club - its By-Laws, Roberts Rules of Order and the ABC’s of Fund Raising.
